Pacific Gas and Electric Energy Savings Assistance Program
PG&E Energy Management Department is dedicated to assisting low-income, disabled and senior citizen customers through numerous programs and community outreach projects. With its Energy Savings Assistance Program PG&E provides income-qualified renters and homeowners with easy, free solutions to help manage their energy use and save money on their monthly energy bills.
Common improvements may include:
- New appliances to replace your old refrigerator, furnace or water heater
- Insulation and weatherproofing services to keep your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter
- Compact fluorescent light bulbs that use up to 70 percent less energy than traditional light bulbs

Participants must live in a house, mobile home or apartment that is at least five years old. Income must meet the following guidelines, which are the same for CARE, the California Alternative Rates for Energy Program.

3 - $40,480 or less
4 - $49,200 or less
5 - $57,560 or less
6 - $65,920 or less
7 - $74,280 or less
8 - $82,640 or less
9 - $91,000 or less
10 - $99,360 or less
Each additional person add $8,360
