Attic Insulation & Venting
Attic insulation, plus proper venting, is one of the most important ways to make your home more energy efficient and reduce your utility heating and cooling bills dramatically. While wall and floor insulation may provide some assistance, attic insulation is by far the most important.
Quality Conservation provides free energy improvements for the Energy Savings Assistance Programs targeted to helping moderate and low-income families of four major utilities: Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Gas, Southwest Gas and Southern California Edison. All four include attic insulation in their programs.
We evaluate every home we treat under any of the free Energy Savings Assistance Programs sponsored by local utilities for needed attic insulation. If attic insulation can be installed or if additional insulation is called for under the Program’s guidelines, attic insulation is provided at no-cost to the owner or renter.
In the winter, a well-insulated attic will block the heat from rising through your ceiling and out of your home. In the summer, a well-insulated attic blocks the heat buildup in your attic from coming into your home. And the correct attic ventilation will greatly reduce that heat build-up.
Adding attic insulation can greatly lower your heating and cooling needs, saving you energy and money, while making your home more comfortable. Even if your home already has some attic insulation, Program guidelines may recommend adding more insulation for greater savings and comfort.
We have more than 20 years’ experience in insulating and venting attics and have provided tens of thousands of homes with free attic insulation.
